The Lake County ESC provides high quality preschool to any child between the ages of 3-5 throughout Lake County. Our preschools are licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and follow a state approved curriculum that is aligned to the Ohio Early Childhood Content Standards. Our goal is to prepare all children for Kindergarten and we do this by implementing all five developmental domains; fine/gross motor, communicative, adaptive, cognitive, and social/emotional. In addition to the five developmental domains, we realize the importance of children learning how to compromise, be respectful to others, and problem solve - preschool provides a place where your child can gain a sense of self, explore, play with peers and build confidence.
In order to meet every child's individual needs, we assess every child through a variety of methods including play-based, observation, and parent interviews/questionnaires. In some cases, children need further evaluations and may qualify for specialized services in the areas of occupational, speech/language, or physical therapy. All of our staff are licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and the majority hold a Master's Degree.
