Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award Presentation - Madison Student Receives Award
Taylor McDuffee, Madison High School Senior, is the Lake county recipient of the 28th Annual Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award. The award program was established by the Ohio Educational Service Center Association to promote student achievement and to recognize outstanding students. One senior from each county within the State of Ohio receives this award annually.
Eligible students must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement as indicated by high school grades, test scores, and awards. Extra-curricular or community activities including class offices held, student government activities, athletics, music and/or theater, church activities, awards, and honors are submitted for all high school years. In addition, the recipient submits an outline of their short-term and long-term goals, both professional and personal.
The award was presented to Taylor at the April 18th Franklin B. Walter Awards Luncheon in Columbus. Taylor was accompanied by Mrs. Angela Smith, superintendent of Madison Local Schools, Bill Fisher, Principal of Madison High School, and the superintendent of the Lake County ESC, Dr. Brian Bontempo. In addition to the honor, Taylo received a $200 book scholarship from the Lake County Educational Service Center Governing Board.
