Deborah Nanney joined the ESC in 2021 as a service provider to West Geauga Schools. This
year her role includes serving the ESC as a literacy specialist and English Language Learner
specialist. Deborah has 30+ years of expertise providing educational leadership and directing
curriculum development as both a classroom teacher, building and district leadership team
member, and building administrator. She has proven experience using the Baldrige Excellence
Framework to guide data analysis, and the implementation of evidence-based strategies and drive
student-centered learning. She holds an elementary teaching license (grades 1-8) and
an administrative license, (P-6 & 6-9). In addition, she is a highly qualified teacher in both math and
science, Wilson Level One certified and a dyslexia practitioner holds a TESOL endorsement,
and is trained in HQIM: Smart Adoption Practices.
