Biographical Information:
Beth Walsh-Moorman joins the ESC of Western Reserve after serving as the assistant professor of literacy at Lake Erie College, where she coordinated the reading endorsement, M.Ed. in literacy and secondary ELA programs. Beth earned her doctorate in curriculum and instruction with a literacy specialization from Kent State University in 2018. Beth’s professional affiliations include serving as a member of Ohio’s P20 Literacy Collaborative and on the executive board of the Ohio Council of Teachers of Language Arts, as well as editing the Ohio Journal of English Language Arts.  Beth has published in several national literacy journals, including The Reading Teacher, English Journal and Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy and has presented at  several state and national conferences.  Beth’s classroom teaching experiences includes 20 years as a high school ELA teacher and instructional coach. Beth was a member of the state literacy team for the 2019 update of Ohio’s Plan to Raise Literacy Achievement. Her expertise includes supporting adolescent literacy, reading and writing across the curriculum, digital literacies and culturally responsive teaching practices.
