This no-cost series offers a step-by-step guide to launching a tutoring program in your district. Participants will be able to:
- Articulate the Amplify tutoring approach through key decisions grounded in research-based design principles and how students will benefit.
- Determine the data source(s) to identify and group eligible students.
- Hire and initially train tutors using aligned, high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and develop a plan for ongoing tutor support.
- Ensure all sites understand the purpose of tutoring, how teachers and tutors work together, and how to support tutoring.
- Draft a communication plan for all adults involved.
Participants will receive a High Impact Planning Workbook, a Tutor Playbook, support for resource
management, communication support, and much more!
Principles of High-Dosage Tutoring:
- Frequent and Consistent: Embedded in the school day. At least three days per week, 30- 60 min per session
- Relationships: Well-trained, consistent tutor. One-to-one or small-group options
- High-Quality Instructional Materials: Aligned to standards and core classwork.
